Every year it gets better. Summer Conference was great. We presented, we rocked! We laughed - a lot! We at "poop"

Summer Conference is great. I must say that I don't always get tons and tons of ideas from every single session, but it's honestly refreshing to be with other teachers. You chat, you realize that you have the same crazy obsessions as other teachers. Who wouldn't cringe at the idea of a student ripping a page out of a spiral notebook? That can't happen!
SumCon Bingo is great. I don't think I should post a picture of the bingo card because some people might get offended - or be self conscious. Sometimes we mark spots for our own actions - and laugh and move yeah. Yeah, I rocked the wet hair look, and I'm proud of the fact that I have not used a hair dryer ALL SUMMER!
So then we decided we needed a blog. Not a blog where we are going to profess how great or wonderful we are, but a blog where we will freely admit things that make us laugh. Confessions of our bad habits - like I teach nutrition and "healthy eating," yet I eat like a barbaric pig and act like I'm not sure why I am overweight....yeah, and I'm working on that so I will probably post about that struggle some too.
Who knows what we will post. I'm sure there will be lots of cynical posts. A few motivational posts when we have those moments where we feel like teacher of the century. I can promise that we will also be posting lots of hilarious screw ups that happen to us and our students.
This blog is meant to be genuine - not totally professional or perfect by any means.
Now, if we are still blogging next year when SumCon rolls around, I will feel like it was a success. Let's do this....
OH - and as I start - everyone should understand that I can't spell, I love commas, I make lots of typos and I typically don't proofread. Remember, the title is Confessions and Ramblings...that it's by chance.
